Tonsillectomy
The tonsils are two blocks of tissue found on the back of the throat and assist in defense against infections. In order to form antibodies, they become infected with entering viruses and bacteria, which assists in helping fight infections that develop over time. However in doing so, they become infected themselves to the very bacterial infections they are monitoring.
Common problems associated with the tonsils are:
