Gynecology
David Ghozland, M.D.
Dr. Ghozland is a second generation Ob/Gyn who brings a tremendous amount of compassion and dedication to everything and everyone he treats. He attended the University of Southern California, where he graduated with a BS in biology and a minor in French literature. After that, Dr. Ghozland graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class and went on to receive a degree from New York Medical College. He completed his residency in Ob/Gyn from St. Vincent\’s Medical Center in New York. During his residency period, he received the resident of the year award for two consecutive years and was awarded the Augustin Ravelo MD Award of Excellence and Compassion in medicine. He completed a Gynecology Oncology Resident Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Dr. Ghozland is Board-certified and has a special affinity for pelvic surgery, especially vaginal reconstruction surgery including vaginoplasty, labiaplasty and perineoplasty. As a gynecological surgeon and member of the American Laparoscopic Surgeon Association, Dr. Ghozland is skilled in the latest in laparoscopic and other minimally invasive surgeries; he has been published in the 2007 OB/GYN Compendium on his work with cosmetic vaginal procedures and is an exceptional addition to our team.
Edwin Ramirez, M.D.
Dr. Ramirez is a board-certified Diplomate in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist. He is a second generation Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a special interest in pelvic floor reconstruction, fertility preservation and minimally invasive surgery. After graduating from High School in 1993, he was accepted to the Michael E. DeBakey surgical program at Baylor College of Medicine, where he was exposed to microsurgical procedures and heart transplants. After completing four years of medical school training at the University Autonoma of Guadalajara, he then went to receive his medical degree from New York Medical College and began his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He then completed the rest of his training at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Staten Island, New York where he was nominated as chief resident and awarded for his excellence in laparoscopic technique.
David L. Finke, M.D.
Dr. Finke received his undergraduate and Medical Doctor degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2006. He finished residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology as Administrative Chief at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Finke has a passion for health policy and plans to continue to be at the forefront of developments on the national level in health education and reform. He has professional affiliations with both the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
Dr. Finke is one of five OB/GYN residents in the nation to be awarded Resident Scholar of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, which is a notable achievement. In addition, he was selected and funded to attend the 28th Annual Congressional Leadership Conference in Washington DC, which was sponsored by the ACOG. With these accomplishments, amongst many others, Dr. Finke makes a wonderful addition to the Beverly Oaks Surgery team.
Jay Mitchell Goldberg, M.D.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Jay M. Goldberg earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1996 after completing his undergraduate education at the University of California-San Diego. He completed his internship and residency training at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. As a founding member of the Cedars-Sinai Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, he has been at the forefront of laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Dr. Goldberg has been awarded the Cedars-Sinai Obstetrician of the Year award and was recipient of the Golden Apple Award-given by the resident physicians he teaches. His charity work includes: Autism Speaks, Hirshberg Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, First Ladies Initiative Birthing Center in Namibia, and Hole in the Wall summer camps.
