Mehras Akhavan, M.D.
Dr. Akhavan received his medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in in 1990 in Tehran, Iran. He followed this degree with his postgraduate training and completed his surgical internship at the LincolnMedical and Mental health Center in Bronx, New York. Dr. Akhavan completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2003 at the State University of New York at Brooklyn. He then received his fellowship in Interventional Pain Management in 2005 from the Keck School of Medicine and University of Southern California.
Dr. Akhavan has held a private practice since 2004 and has 22 years of experience as an MD specializing in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and pain management. He has his Board Certification in Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Pain Medicine, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
