Marc Selner, D.P.M

Marc SelnerDr. Selner graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, San Francisco in 1973. He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and is part of three generations of podiatrists; his father, brother, and daughter have all participated in advancing the profession.

Dr. Selner has worked with his brother to perfect the clinically advanced surgical procedure for bunions called the Tricorrectional Bunionectomy that was featured on the Learning Channel Television Program. He has published six articles on this procedure along with a related article on utilizing a sesamoid fixation technique in the foot. He has performed thousands of the Tricorrectional procedure that have resulted in many happy and active patients.

Dr. Selner is committed to continuing education and staying up to sate on the latest foot and ankle treatments and techniques. He was head analyst of a biomechanical lap using motion analysis, EMG, F-Scan, and Lumbar Motion Monitor systems for advance biomechanical analysis.

Dr. Selner has served as Clinical Instructor of Podiatry at the University of Southern California for many years and for over ten years, he has headed the Podiatric Externship Program. With a long and distinguished history as an innovator in his field, Dr. Selner is an exceptional addition to our team.

Dr. Arash Hassid

Dr. Arash Hassid is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He completed a three year comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency at the Veterans Administration Program, West Los Angeles and UCLA, Olive View Medical Center. Prior to his residency program, he completed his medical studies at the California School of Podiatric Medicine, Samuel Merritt College. Dr. Hassid received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychobiology from the University of California Los Angeles.

Dr. Hassid’s involvement in the community stems from his passion for teaching and educating the public about foot and ankle ailments. He has been involved with multiple events such as radio interviews, local foot screenings, newspaper articles and public lectures. He has conducted research on multiple imaging modalities to predict risk of ulceration in diabetics and to prevent future amputations. Dr. Hassid is interested in full spectrum foot and ankle practice including foot and ankle trauma, limb salvage, Pediatrics, arthroscopy, laser therapy with emphasis on minimally invasive forefoot and hindfoot reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Hecht

Neil H. Hecht, D.P.M. has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery in the Los Angeles area since finishing his residency at Memorial Hospital of Hawthorne in 1978. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he attended Case Western Reserve University to complete his undergraduate studies. He graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco as a Pi Delta Honor Society member. He is specialty board-certified from both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (1984) and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics (1988), has fellowships in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot Orthopedists and the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is an active member of the American and California Podiatric Medical Associations, as well as the Los Angeles County Podiatric Medical Society. He is on staff at several local hospitals and maintains a full-time private practice.

Dr. Hecht is the charter attending podiatric specialist for advanced wound care at The Center for Wound Care at Sherman Oaks Hospital and also an invited attending specialist at The Wound Care Advantage at Verdugo Hills Hospital providing advanced wound healing technology on a continuing basis.

He is the former director of the podiatric residency training program at Sherman Oaks Hospital and attending staff for the residency training program at Providence Tarzana Medical Center.
