Urology
Alexander Gershman, M.D.
Dr. Gershman received his medical degree from Moscow Medical School in 1984 and continued his education with a residency in Urologic Surgery at the same establishment. Once he moved to the United States, Dr. Gershman completed a research fellowship in the Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a clinical fellowship in Urolithiasis and Endourology at UCLA Medical Center. After completing his fellowships, Dr. Gershman completed his residency at UCLA Medical Center in General Surgery and Urology. He is Board certified in Urology.
Dr. Gershman has over 25 years of medical experience and has held multiple academic appointments throughout this time; he has been a visiting professor at the department of surgery and urology in hospitals and universities across the globe, including in Vienna, the United States, Canada, Norway, Germany, and Holland. In addition to his academic appointments, Dr. Gershman has held very high titles at multiple hospitals in California; he was the Clinical Chief of Urology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Director of Urologic Laparoscopy at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, among others.
Dr. David Josephson, MD
Dr. David Josephson, MD is a board-certified urologist that specializes in minimally invasive urologic oncology and adult circumcision among many other specialties.
Dr. Josephson received his Bachelors of Science in Anthropology at the University of California at Los Angeles, graduating summa cum laude before attending Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University and receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree.
Dr. Josephson received surgical training at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, where he completed his residency to become a Fellow in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Urologic Oncology for the Department of Urology/Urologic Oncology.
Dr. Josephson has also served many academic appointments including:

- Assistant Professor, Fellowship Director, and Co-Director appointments at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center

Among the distinctions, awards, and honors received by Dr. Josephson are inclusion in the Consumers’ Research Council of America’s “Guide to America’s Top Surgeons,” named one of the Best Doctors by Pasadena Magazine from 2008 to 2012, inclusion in the Cambridge Who’s Who healthcare edition of 2008, and named one of Southern California Super Docs in Los Angeles Magazine from 2010 to 2012.
Dr. Josephson is one of a very limited number of surgeons in the United States to have extensive training in and experience with open and robotic techniques for the management of complex urologic disorders.
